Rebuilding Literacy Tutoring Services was founded in 2025 in Brantford, Ontario with a simple mission: to help students close learning gaps, build real skills, and rebuild their confidence and love of learning.

For many families, the story is familiar. A child who once loved storybooks, bedtime reading, exploring animals and adventures suddenly refuses to pick up a pencil or open a book. As classrooms grow and expectations increase, students with learning gaps often slip through the cracks—not because they aren’t capable, but because they don’t receive the focused support they deserve.

As an educator in the public system, I saw firsthand how students with reading and foundational skill gaps struggled not only academically, but emotionally and socially. These gaps often lead to frustration, behaviour challenges, and a loss of confidence. Most importantly, they lose that spark for learning.

That’s why Rebuilding Literacy Tutoring Services was created. Through personalized literacy instruction and targeted skill-building, students gain the tools they need to understand content, apply learning, and feel successful. When we build strong readers and confident learners, we open the door for future success—in school and in life.
